High Street Baptist Church, Tring

With a vision for G.R.O.W.T.H, we are looking for an enthusiastic, relational and creative Youth and Children’s worker to build on a strong existing foundation and help shape the next chapter of this vital ministry. This is an exciting opportunity to invest in children, young people and families within the church and wider community, developing schools work alongside our existing midweek community-focused children’s groups, and Sunday junior church programme.

We are looking for someone with relevant experience and training who will:

• bring imagination, energy and innovation to this ministry area in response to developing needs of our church and local community;
• help envision, equip and grow our team of volunteers;
• mentor young people and children as an authentic Christian role model, both within and beyond the church;
• bring strong organisation, communication and IT skills; and
• actively participate in the life of the church, with a passion to further the kingdom of God.

We are a mid-size, multi-generational church in the beautiful Hertfordshire town of Tring, with a prominent place in the local community and a wide range of activity throughout the week. As the first Baptist church in the UK to achieve a Gold Eco-Church award through the A Rocha scheme, we have a heart for holistic, whole-life discipleship and for church to be a place that is welcoming and accessible to all.

There is a genuine occupational requirement that the post holder is a Christian as permitted under the Equality Act 2010.
