High Street Baptist Church - Tring

Welcome

Whether you are new to the area or to church life – or attend church regularly – we welcome you to High Street Baptist Church, Tring.

We are currently holding Sunday morning services as hybrid services. You are welcome to attend via Zoom or in person. Our midweek activity is blend of in person activity, online and use of our outdoor space.

We are an inclusive church, welcoming and serving all, no matter what their economic power, gender, mental health, physical ability, race, age or sexuality. We are a church that welcomes and serves all people in the name of Jesus Christ and that seeks to proclaim the gospel to all.

Our main time of worship together is on Sundays at 10.30am, with something for all ages. A lot more happens throughout the week. With facilities that are available to the local community for meetings and activities, there is always something going on.

Don’t hestiate to get in touch if you require prayer or pastoral support, contact the church office or Revd Joe Egan or Revd Ruth Egan.

Our Sunday services are hybrid – you can attend in person or via Zoom. There is no need to book to attend the service in person. We live stream services and record the sermons, which are then posted on YouTube. You may be seen on camera (back of head only) if seated on the front two rows. Remember, you can join a service with your video turned off if you prefer not to be seen on Zoom.

High Street Baptist Church has a prominent position on Tring High Street and is an active part of the community. Although a place of worship on Sunday mornings, we strongly believe that ‘church’ is not just for Sunday. As a result, we run many mid-week activities, from children and toddler groups to groups designed for older, or socially isolated, people.

We are really excited to be part of our local community and are concerned about making the Christian faith understandable and relevant in our homes, at our places of work or education and in our leisure times. We want everyone to feel included. If you are planning to visit us, please do so. You are always welcome.

Linking Lives is our project to tackle loneliness in the local area. We seek to offer friendship to socially isolated people through the simple act of building a relationship with a volunteer. Read more on our Linking Lives page.

Christians Against Poverty (CAP) provides debt help and local community groups across the UK. Their free services provide practical and emotional support and show people that there is always hope. Northchurch Baptist Church is partnered with CAP and runs money management courses and offers support.
